“Let Ohio Women Vote!” - the battle for full and fair suffrage will be an online presentation by Dr. Kimberly Hamlin, Professor of History and Global and Intercultural Studies.

The film, “Let Ohio Women Vote”, was funded by the Ohio Humanities to commemorate the 100-year anniversary of women gaining the right to vote. Our speaker is one of the historians who produced the film; it premiered on Monday, Nov. 15 on ThinkTV16 in Dayton and CET in Cincinnati as well as on the stations’ livestreams, PBS Video App and YouTube. It is still available through streaming outlets, and we are encouraging you to watch the film before the evening’s presentation, however, it’s not required.

Dr. Hamlin will provide insight into how they chose the women featured in the film, the background stories of those women, and what lessons they learned that provide us guidance to continue the struggle for full and fair voter suffrage today.
