That is the mission statement of the Civics Learning Project. Two speakers, Chris Hughes and Abby Laufman, spoke to LWV members at our kickoff dinner Oct. 1. Their Oregon Civics Reach Initiative continued impact expansion across Oregon, supporting K-12 educators statewide with essential civics professional development and classroom supports to meet their growing needs. In total, they increased 23% in outreach and impact with 1,533 teachers and 173,184 students statewide.
