Join the League of Women Voters and the National Institute for Civil Discourse in a session to learn how to evaluate our values and then act from those values, while understanding the importance of small, intentional actions inside our circles of influence to create ripples. The session will include interactive breakout opportunities and learning on how to use a tool that can help us face the challenges of division in our politics today.

Pennsylvania is one of only seven states with fully closed primaries.  Bills pending in the state Legislature can change this. The presentation will explore other primary systems and what is possible and needed for Pennsylvania.

The 5th Annual Delaware County Sustainability Conference to be held on Friday, March 13th, 2026, at Swarthmore College in partnership with the Office of Sustainability at Swarthmore College. Topics will include grassroots sustainability success, data centers, zero waste community action.

The League of Women Voters of Delaware County Environment Committee will participate as a community partner.

Delaware County Naturalization Ceremony will take place at the Delaware County Courthouse in Media on March 11, 2026 at 7:00 PM. Our League of Women Voters of Central Delaware County has been invited by the presiding Judge to be present at the naturalization ceremony to give each new citizen a packet of information about voting.

The International Relations Study Group of the League of Women Voters of Central Delaware County has been active for years studying different countries meeting monthly on the second Tuesday at 12:30 pm. To generate discussion the group uses the Great Decisions Briefing Book resources put out by the Foreign Policy Association.
On March 10, 2026 the discussion will be a review of Chapter 2 of 2026 Great Decisions titled The End of an Era: Trump Tariffs in Historical Perspective.

A Forum titled Non-Profit Healthcare for All is being held on Sunday, March 8 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Delaware County, 145 W Rose Tree Rd, Media PA.

A panel of experts will share information on why the current system is broken; looking at health care as a public good; cuts to Medicaid and ACA premium tax subsidies; legislation concerning single payer health care issues; and Medicare Advantage vs traditional Medicare.

The Forum sponsors are Delco Indivisible, the Social Justice Committee of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Delaware County, and PA 5 District Demands Medicare for All.
