The federal Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) has met all requirements for a constitutional amendment.  Now we need your help to get it published  in the US Constitution as the 28th Amendment.  

Sitting in the US House of Representatives is House Joint Resolution 25, (HJRes #25)which affirms the federal ERA and removes the arbitrary time limit that was attached by  Congress in 1972.  Once this resolution (along with the Senate version) is passed, President Biden will direct the Archivist to certify and publish the ERA as the 28th Amendment.

However, 218 signatures are needed on, House Discharge Petition 6 to so House Joint Resolution 25  can be brought to the House floor for a vote (by-passing the Speaker of the House - who will not bring HJRes#25 to a floor vote).  Currently, there are 212 signatures on the House Discharge Petition #6.

We are only about 5-6 votes short for Discharge Petition #6.

Representative Brian Fitzpatrick (Pennsylvania District 01) has not yet signed the Discharge Petition.

What Can You Do?  There are two quick ways to help:

• If you live in PA district 01, Contact Representative Fitzpatrick (following the instructions below) to urge him to sign House Discharge Petition 6 to bring House Joint Resolution 25 to the House floor for a vote.
• Sign the National Sign4ERA Petition which lets the federal government know you want the ERA certified and published as the 28th Amendment. 

How to Contact Representative Fitzpatrick:

• Visit https://fitzpatrick.house.gov/home
• Click on the Contact Brian
• On the next page, enter all required information (e.g. name, address, zip code, email address, and phone number)
• click "Yes, I would like a response." 
• select "Government Issues" from the the issue category dropdown list
• Fill in the subject of the message line "Equal Rights Amendment"  
• Fill in your comment that you want him to sign the discharge petition (Discharge Petition 6) to bring the resolution to affirm the Equal Rights Amendment (House Joint Resolution 25) to the floor for a vote and you want him to vote favorably on the resolution.  
• Click "I am not a robot"
• Click "Submit".
