Join us for the Health Topic: Life or Death - Standing Up to Gun Violence in Pennsylvania is the presentation coordinated by the Health Committee of the League of Women Voters of Delaware County scheduled for Friday, November 10, 2023 at Noon via Zoom

Someone is killed with a gun every 6 hours in Pennsylvania.  Since 2002, CeaseFirePA has become a trusted voice, definitive resource, and galvanizing force for member organizations, the general public, members of the media, and policymakers alike. CeaseFirePA uses its network and platform to ensure that those impacted by gun violence are heard by those with the power to effect the most change. 

The presenter Adam Garber, Executive Director, CeaseFire PA will provide an overview of the problem of gun violence, strategies for prevention, and ongoing advocacy efforts including citizen engagement.Adam has a long history of advocacy through his work at the US Public Interest Group where his investigations of contamination threats in foods, cars, toys and other consumer products received national coverage on CBS, in the New York Times, and elsewhere, and as a clean air and water advocate in Pennsylvania.
