The Delaware County Daily Times provided extensive coverage of our Hot Topics Program Dec. 5 featuring Rosemary Halt, the chairman of the County Board of health and Department of Health Director Lora Werner discussing the challenges and uncertainty facing the four-year-old county public health department in the face of federal cuts and state funding delays. The Pennsylvania League of Women Voters, Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts, and the Committee of Seventy sponsored a series of voter information events featuring judicial candidates running in the 2025 Pennsylvania Municipal election.
All the events were recorded and can be shared with friends and family to help voters be more informed about the Pennsylvania judicial system and the candidates that are seeking to serve.

Three state Supreme Court justices Christine Donohue, Kevin Dougherty and David Wecht offered a glimpse behind their chambers doors Monday, September 8, 2025 as they seek voters’ approval in November to serve second terms. Judges in Pennsylvania are elected to 10-year terms in partisan elections. Once in office, however, they stand for retention in “yes” or “no” referenda to serve subsequent terms.

The event, Behind the Ballot Fireside Chat: PA Supreme Court Retention Elections was co-sponsored by the court access group Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts, the government watchdog Committee of Seventy and the Pennsylvania League of Women Voters.
