Calling League of Women Voter members to join us for the LWV 2021 Legislative Interview Overview and Training session on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 7:00 pm by Zoom to learn how to conduct legislative interviews with your state senators and representatives and become an advocate for good governance.

This program is co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters for Lower Merion/Narberth, Chester County, Radnor Township and Central Delaware County and will provide an overview of several important legislative initiatives coming up in the 2021-2022 session of the Pennsylvania State Legislature. After this overview and training you will join a team to conduct a virtual interview by Zoom or conference call with a local legislator.

Legislative Interviews are fact-gathering events intended to help the Pennsylvania League of Women Voters establish the priorities for government relations initiatives in Harrisburg. Information collected at these interviews are submitted to the Pennsylvania League for further action throughout 2021.

You will learn tips on how to prepare, schedule and conduct interviews. Background on pending bills active in the 2021 legislative sessions will be covered including Act 77 election law, redistricting reform, judicial gerrymandering, legislative rule making, open primaries, national popular vote compact and the regional greenhouse gas initiative.

Trainers are Jamie Mogil, Election Rights Lawyer and member of the Lower Merion/Narberth League and Jodine Mayberry, political reporter and member of the Board of Directors for LWV Central Delaware County.

The Overview and Training is FREE but to receive the link to the Zoom Virtual Presentation via email you MUST register.
