The League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania and League of Women Voters of Delaware County* are hosting a special FREE presentation concerning Restrictive Laws Affecting Asians in the USA: Past, Present, & What’s Coming on Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Radnor Memorial Library (Winsor Room), 114 W Wayne Ave., Wayne PA.

The presenter is Texas State Representative Gene Wu (Asian American), who has traveled from Texas to Pennsylvania to share critical insights on this topic. He will discuss the historical and ongoing legal challenges faced by Asian communities in the U.S. and explores how past laws continue to shape the present—and what we may face in the future.

An open discussion and light lunch will follow the presentation. During the open discussion you can ask questions, share your thoughts, and connect with others who are interested in these vital issues. It promises to be an enriching experience for both adults and youth alike, offering the chance to learn and reflect together.

This event is family-friendly, making it a perfect opportunity to introduce youth to important conversations about history, diversity, and civil rights plus will help answer the following questions:
