On May 13, 2022, Governor McMaster signed into law legislation passed by the General Assembly that establishes early voting and makes significant changes to the absentee voting process. This legislation will be in effect for the June 14th Primaries. 

• Absentee Voting is now exclusively for those who need to vote by mail. There are specific rules and a complex process to vote by mail. Click here for detailed information.

• In-person Early Voting is now available to everyone for any reason. There are 4 early voting centers in Beaufort Co. and one in Jasper Co. For the Primaries, Early Voting starts May 31 and closes June 10th.  For detailed information on Early Voting, click here.
