On August 26, 1920, the Nineteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was certified, officially granting women the right to vote. This marked the culmination of a decades-long fight by suffragists.
The League of Women Voters continues its work for women’s equality. This year, we celebrate Women’s Equality Day with a special presentation, open to League members and the general public. There is no fee, but registration is required by Sunday, August 24. Scroll down to see the registration form.
