Joining the League is a great way to play an active role in your community and our democracy! 

Join us and be part of the solution. Everyone is welcome. Membership in the League of Women Voters is open to anyone 16 years or older. As a member, you will:
    • have the opportunity to participate in local, state, and national League work
    • get exclusive civic information you can trust
    • know that your membership dues add to our grassroots strength and our financial resources.

Membership Dues

Membership in the League of Women Voters of Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Area includes membership in the national and state Leagues. Your dues support the critical work of all three (20% to HHI-BA, 47% to SC State League, 33% to the National League). Your dues help amplify the League's important mission at the national, state, and local levels. Empowering Voters. Defending Democracy. 

Starting in 2025, membership dues for all Leagues will be pay-what-you-can. The recommended dues rate for all Leagues across the country is $75. The minimum dues rate is $20. Your membership will expire one year after you join/renew. Click on one of the buttons below to pay for your membership online.

You can pay with a credit card or by direct debit from your bank account (ACH) which saves the LWV credit card fees. Because your dues payment is technically three payments – one to your local League, one to your state League, and one to the National League – it will show up on your credit card statement as three payments

If you would like to make an additional donation exclusively to the HHI-BA League, you can do that on the second page of the join/renew process.
