Immigration and DACA Webinar - October 14, 2020

George Kanuck, co-president of the Lowcountry Immigration Coalition based in the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Area and Aime Deverall, Esq. of the Immigration Family Law Firm, LLC of Bluffton SC were the presenters for the first LWVSC Racial Justice webinar held October 14, 2020. Their presentation was designed to help local Leagues address the reality of new immigrants in their communities in a positive and neighborly manner and the changing nature of American identity as opposed to what is presented in the blaring headlines and political speeches of today. They also offered several resources to Leagues for deep readings into the immigrant experience and the extraordinarily long-time of up to decades to even be placed on the list for an interview to be even considered for a visa to enter our country.  Please click on the image to view the webinar.
