"Why Voting is So Important
to Stand Up and Speak Upfor Public Education" 
 
A nonpartisan, educational presentation
about the
May 2022 Virginia Department of Education Report that says:
"Virginia’s Current State: Lower Expectations, Wider Gaps, and Lack of Transparency"
 
Followed by small group conversations for action
facilitated by members of Dialogue on Race Education and Jim Crow-White Privilege Issue Groups

 

Comfort

  • Bring a chair and some water to stay hydrated.
  • Sheltered seating in the Moose Lodge picnic shelter. Bring an umbrella if you might sit in the open. 
  • Bring a personal snack if you wish. We'll not be serving food this time. We will provide iced bottled water.

Safety

  • We hope that all are vaccinated.
  • Please, wear a mask if you will feel it is needed. Many of us who are organizing the summit plan to wear our masks.
  • We will follow state and federal guidelines current on August 27.

Be prepared to reconnect and enjoy being together again in person.
Open for sign-in at 3:15 pm; program begins at 4:00.
