At a time of national division, the U.S. Supreme Court finds itself under the spotlight from both the Trump Administration and the public as it rules on critical constitutional issues.
League members can learn more about the Supreme Court’s process and rulings from Dr. Jack Call, professor emeritus of criminal justice and research faculty at Radford University, who will be our speaker for the First Tuesday Talk on April 7th.
Dr. Call brings years of experience from teaching and also as a popular instructor of LLI courses on the Supreme Court and related topics. He earned a J.D. degree from the College of William and Mary and a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Georgia.
Please feel free to bring friends and guests to the talk because of this topic’s immediate importance at this time in our democracy. We will have a short Q&A time after Dr. Call’s talk to answer your questions.
Feel free to bring your lunch with you to our noon-time meeting at 11:45 am on Tuesday April 7, 2026 at the Blacksburg Public Library Community Room, 200 Miller St SW, Blacksburg, VA 24060.
