Deadlines
- The deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 5 election is Tuesday, Oct. 15.
- The deadline to apply for a ballot by mail is Tuesday, Oct. 29. The Department of Elections encourages those requesting a ballot by mail to do so as early as possible to avoid mail delivery delays.
- The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot in-person is Nov. 2.
- In-person absentee voting is available Monday through Friday during regular general registrar office hours, and on Saturday, Oct. 26 and Saturday, Nov. 2. Office hours and locations for in-person absentee voting can vary by locality, so voters can check that information at vote.virginia.gov.
- The deadline for a general registrar to receive an absentee ballot by mail is 7 p.m. Nov. 5.
Virginia General Assembly
All Senate and House of Delegates seats are open.
Constitutional Officers
The following positions will be elected: Commissioner of the REvenue, Commonwealth's Attorney, Sheriff, Treasurer
Board of Supervisors
Districts B, E, F, and G will be open.
School Board
Districts B, E, F, and G will be open.
Town Councils
Both Blacksburg and Christiansburg Town Councils have seats open.
