On Sunday, Dec. 4 at the Prairie Village Community Center from 4 - 6 p.m., we celebrated this year's recipients of the Making Democracy Work Award, Lynn Binnie and Patrick Singer.
A final discussion of Ibram X. Kendi's book, "How to be an Antiracist," will be held on Monday evening, November 21, from 6 - 8:30 p.m. at the Irvin L Young Memorial Library, 431 West Center Street, Whitewater.
In lieu of a local program, the League of Women Voters - Whitewater Area is taking advantage of a statewide event that is happening on the third Thursday of the month, which coincides with our regularly scheduled program date.
Any League member is welcome to attend LWV Whitewater Area board meetings. They are held on the first Saturday of every month, 10 a.m. - Noon, unless otherwise noted in the schedule below.
Since 2010, the League of Women Voters Whitewater Area has annually recognized community members who, through their work or volunteerism, have positively impacted the community in which they live.
