On October 28th, LWVWI will be celebrating Vote Early Day to let folks in Wisconsin know about all their options to cast a ballot ahead of Election Day. But this holiday isn’t just for nonprofits.
For over 100 years the mission of the League of Women Voters has been to educate and empower voters. We work to protect voting rights and ensure that all voters have equal opportunity to exercise the right to vote.
Proposals to change election laws are being made at the state and federal levels. Existing laws are being challenged in state and federal courts. How could these changes affect people of color and those with disabilities?
Any League member is welcome to attend LWV Whitewater Area board meetings. They are held on the first Saturday of every month, 10 a.m. - Noon, unless otherwise noted in the schedule below.
Voting is a shared American freedom, but to exercise this basic right, we must be registered to vote! That’s why LWVWI is a proud partner and supporter of National Voter Registration Day (9/20).
