The California Budget & Policy Center (Budget Center) is a nonpartisan research and analysis nonprofit committed to advancing public policies that improve the lives of all Californians.

The Budget Center highlights California budget choices and public policies affecting low- and middle-income households, women, immigrants, Native Americans, Asian, Black, Latinx, and Pacific Islander Californians, as well as other Californians of color, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ Californians.

The Budget Center did an Analysis of the Governor’s May Revised Budget. The analysis covers many LWVDV priority issues, such as health care, homelessness & housing, economic security, and workforce development. It also analyzes budget choices affecting education and undocumented residents.
