Committees from Diablo Valley

League members take action on issues where we have studied the topic and have reached conclusions that are embodied in our positions. We work together to stay informed, educate League members, and strategize about steps we can take to defend our democracy. Our actions and non-partisan advocacy are especially urgent in this pivotal moment of our democracy.

Our Action/Advocacy Committee meets monthly. (See event notices below or on the list of Events.)

The Board of Directors is the governing body of the League of Women Voters of Diablo Valley (LWVDV). The individuals who sit on the board are responsible for overseeing the organization’s activities and direct the work necessary to carry out our mission.

The goal of the LWVDV Civic Engagement Committee is to provide citizens with access to the information, skills, and resources they need to play an active civic role, including civil discourse skills and media literacy.

The LWVDV Community Conversation Team, in concert with other county partners, plans and hosts virtual and in person informational presentations on topics important to our mission.

See the Community Conversations playlist on the LWVDV YouTube channel for videos of past webinars.

A group of LWV Diablo Valley members interested in Health Care issues meet regularly to share questions and information. We invite you to join us! See below for related news, announcement and events.

LWV Observer programs ensure that citizens are aware of the decisions that impact their communities and promote government transparency and accountability.

The Voter Services team works to strengthen democracy and empower citizens through voter education, voter registration, and voter mobilization. Our goal is to provide fair, nonpartisan, factual information about elections, ballot issues, candidate opinions, the voting process, and public policy issues.
