LWV Diablo Valley’s Public Program Team submitted an application to LWVC Convention organizers about the programs the team is providing in partnership with the Contra Costa Library.  The application was submitted under the category “Great League Advocacy and Community Education Ideas.”  Voila!!  It is an honor to share that LWVDV was one of four Leagues selected. LWVDV will give a ten-minute presentation about the “Community Conversations” programs at the Convention workshop scheduled for Wednesday, June 9, from 5:00-6:30 pm.

The Public Program Team, which includes Diane Bianchi, Ann Flynn and Shawn Gilbert, will be meeting soon to prepare a description of the Library partnership in developing public programs, select a set of slides to share, and outline the successes of the varied informative programs offered to the community.

Chris Carson, from LWV Los Angeles, will be the workshop moderator. She will begin with a quick welcome, then introduce the presenters in the following order:
  1. LWV Alameda, Susan Hauser
  2. LWV Diablo Valley, Ann Flynn and Shawn Gilbert
  3. LWV Ventura County, Betsy Patterson
  4. LWV North County San Diego, Anne Omsted
