League Leaders and Members:

Your dedicated volunteerism has made all the difference!

Join our full membership Annual Meeting via Zoom, Saturday, June 26th at 9:30 am.

We will listen, learn, share information, build trust, and together grow grass roots consensus and advocate for policy change.  All are our methods of success.

We do need a quorum of 36 members to get our business accomplished.  Then….

Let us, your League leadership team, take this opportunity to thank you for your dedication to volunteering with us.  It’s amazing to think that we will also honor 16 members for their 50 years of participation with us.

Our League has proven that building supportive volunteer teams is a successful method for accomplishing the basic functions of our mission -- empowering voters and protecting democracy, always prioritizing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

We plan to acknowledge our teams to honor their achievements and share their work in a way that encourages you to participate, if you haven’t already.

It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as your Co-President and President these last four years.  It has been a time of transition and taking the initiative and facing very real challenges.

Being President of the LWVDV is a strenuous role, yet it is so rewarding to be part of building a vision together and building functional teams working together to strengthen our democracy.

Please note this leadership change: With a sense of purpose, a decision has been made to manage the role of President as an administrative team for the July 2021 to June 2022 League year. We will share the multiple functions of a Presidency by designating administrative leadership by one month or two months at a time.

I thank you for your dedication to volunteerism and leadership roles with our LWVDV and for always providing support to this President throughout these tumultuous times. I know you will work to make our new leadership structure a success.

Yours in League,

Suzan

PS - You are most welcome to join the Communications Team with me as we pursue and design our branding, messaging, information design and delivery through online methods, video and social media opportunities.  We will be learning together!!
