League Leaders and Members:
Fall has arrived! The election season is here and the midterms are on the horizon. We are in the home stretch to the finish line on November 8th. All League activities associated with voter services, voter registration and education, and getting out the vote are in full swing.
In the month of October, we currently have eight Pros & Cons presentations for the 2022 California propositions and nine Candidate Forums scheduled at various locations. We also have a special Community Conversations webinar being presented on October 13th to help you “Get the Lowdown On 2022 Propositions: Pros & Cons.”
The Voter’s Edge team has assembled information on candidates, measures, and who supports them to assist voters in making their choices on the ballot. We also have resources on our website to help voters get the facts and spot mis/disinformation.
There are also resources available from LWVUS and LWVC: the LWVC Vote with the League Proposition Recommendations and Pros & Cons of Statewide Ballot Propositions and the new LWVUS Legal Center. Check them out!
October is Voter Education Month. Let’s all pitch in to Empower Voters and Make Democracy Work!
