Supporting our Immigrant Neighbors - Concord Immigration Court

Over a quarter of Contra Costa residents are immigrants who come from all over the world. A large new Immigration Court, which handles deportations, recently opened in Concord, nearly doubling the deportation capacity of the Bay Area.
Local organizations are working together to support our immigrant neighbors as they go through the process. Community members are needed to be court observers, or give assistance through accompaniment.

Community Conversation webinars on immigration were presented earlier this year to provide information about national, state and local immigration laws, and to demystify myths that contribute to misunderstanding and false information about immigrants. Videos of the presentations are now available:
