NewsVOTE411 is the tool that LWV provides for voters to look up information about the candidates on their ballot. See our VOTE411 page for more information.
Many people start voting as soon as they get their ballots in the mail, which will happen on October 7. During all of October, it's crucial that we "get the word out" about VOTE411.org (the replacement for Voter's Edge) so voters know about it before they vote!
- Talk to your friends, relatives, neighbors or coworkers about getting ready to vote with Vote411:
- "Are you sure you are registered to vote (at your current address)? If you didn't vote in the primary (or moved recently) it's a good idea to check." You can check your voter registration status from Vote411 (here) or from the CA Secretary of State site.
- "Ballots come in the mail soon. Did you know that you can learn about candidates and measures on VOTE411.org just by entering your address? (You may want to take out your phone and show them how easy is to use!)
- Follow LWVDV.org and Vote411 on Instagram (@lwvdiablovalley) and Facebook, and share a post to your feed every few days until the election.
- Write your own post on your favorite social media platform(s): "I will be using Vote411.org to learn about candidates and ballot measures before I vote."
- If you see on VOTE411 that a candidate on your ballot has not posted information yet, you can immediately reach out to them on that webpage and encourage them to participate.
