We are out celebrating democracy!!! In the photo above, League members Shawn Gilbert and Martha Goralka partnered with the County Office of Elections when its Outreach Trailer was in Antioch on January 26 to register voters and share about Voter’s Edge.

Make a Difference!

Being an informed and engaged citizen is the best way to protect, strengthen and celebrate our democracy!

While it was a real disappointment when the Senate did not pass the Freedom to Vote: John Lewis Act last week, we keep calm and carry on, as Winston Churchill said. Each of us has the power to act individually.  How do we do this? 

According to the Brennan Center for Justice, an “independent, nonpartisan law and policy organization” you and I, “We the People”, can make a difference.  Take a moment to read the following articles from the Brennan Center.  They are informative and empowering.
