On March 22nd, President Anne Granlund and three members of the Voter Services team met with Ms. Kristin Connelly, the newly elected County Clerk-Recorder for Contra Costa County. It was a productive and fun meeting, which took place in Ms. Connelly’s cheerful office in Martinez. We shared some of the work that League members have been doing in addition to Voter Services, such as Civil Discourse and Mis/Disinformation.
Ms. Connelly shared some of her goals, especially finding more ways to engage young people and ways to improve the gap between those who are registered and election voter turnout. The Antioch Chamber of Commerce recognized Martha’s many contributions to the Antioch community at a beautiful Gala Dinner last week. We are proud of you, Martha!
