League Day 2022 will take a holistic look at land-use planning involved in placing housing. We'll be looking at the intersectionality of housing with climate change and natural hazard planning, and the financial implications of housing placement.

Measure X, a new county-wide sales tax to support health and human services for our local neighbors and families, was passed by voters in November 2020. The tax money is being collected, and decisions are being made on how to allocate the money in support of the values we hold as residents of Contra Costa. Join us at a Zoom webinar to hear about the first year of allocations -- what was recommended by the Advisory Committee, what was funded -- and what are the gaps still remaining.

This is the regular monthly meeting of the LWV Diablo Valley Board. Agenda items may include financial reports, advocacy decisions and updates, voter service activity plans and information, program planning for future studies and meetings, and membership updates.

The League of Women Voters of Pasadena, Los Angeles County, and the League of Women Voters of California proudly invite our members, community partners, and elected officials to join us for a special lunchtime screening of the film, “Racially Charged: America’s Misdemeanor Problem.” The screening will be followed by a panel discussion of shared experiences by individuals who have been impacted by the criminal legal system.
