Board Briefs:
At its meeting on August 11, the Board took the following actions:
- Appointed Anne Granlund, Sue Brandy, Janet Hoy, Shawn Gilbert and Paul Derksen to the Executive Committee
- Appointed Paul Derksen, Gail Chesler and Marielle Boortz to the Financial Review Committee
- Appointed Karen Dolder as a Board representative on the Nominating Committee
- Approved purchase of 300 copies of the LWVC bilingual English/Spanish Easy Voter Guides
The Board also:
- Discussed next steps for Community Outreach
- Heard a report from Action/Advocacy Co-Chair Mary Schreiber on recent discussion at the County Board of Supervisors about forming a Sheriff’s Oversight Committee
- Received updates from the Community Conversations Team about upcoming events
- Learned that social hours will continue to be held at Todos Santos Plaza in Concord while the weather is good.

This is the regular monthly meeting of the LWV Diablo Valley Board. Agenda items may include financial reports, advocacy decisions and updates, voter service activity plans and information, program planning for future studies and meetings, and membership update.
All League meetings are open to the public.
