Board Briefs for June 2023
At its meeting on June 8, 2023, the Board took the following action:
- Approved a letter to the Board of Supervisors regarding its recently completed budget process, commenting positively about the transparency and requesting that the Measure X-CAB recommended priorities be honored.
The Board also:
- Finalized plans for the Annual Meeting and discussed developing a road map for future years for Program Planning and Annual Meeting.
- Planned the July Board retreat. (There was no formal meeting in July.)
- Heard that Janet Hoy is working with a Rossmoor group on Braver Angels events and will share lessons learned.
- Learned that Kathy Gallagher plans to set up a Youth Observer Corps.

Reviewed reports from Action-Advocacy, Civic Engagement, Communications, Observer Corps, Voter Services, Nominating Committee.

This is the regular monthly meeting of the LWV Diablo Valley Board. Agenda items may include financial reports, advocacy decisions and updates, voter service activity plans and information, program planning for future studies and meetings, and membership update.
All League meetings are open to the public.
