Board briefs:
At its meeting on September 12, the Board took the following actions:
- Approved the Civil Discourse policy statement to be used at LWVDV events.
- Approved a donation to the NAACP education fund.
- Approved the revised Nonpartisan Policy for LWVDV.
The Board also
- Agreed that the Treasurer would purchase a CD with reserve funds, prior to the anticipated decrease in interest rates.
- Discussed ways to call attention to the Civil Discourse policy statement.
- Determined that the $2,500 grant from the Elections Department would be used to print materials in Spanish to be distributed by LWVDV and through a partnership with Latino community groups.
- Heard that LWVC obtained funds to provide a Spanish version of the Pros and Cons flyer.

This is the regular monthly meeting of the LWV Diablo Valley Board. Agenda items may include financial reports, advocacy decisions and updates, voter service activity plans and information, program planning for future studies and meetings, and membership update.
