There are so many news and social media outlets filling our air waves with information every day that it’s hard to keep up. How can voters determine what is accurate information and what is false? For a democracy to thrive, it is important that voters have the TOOLS they need to be able to stay informed and make decisions based on facts. This webinar is designed to provide tools and strategies for voters to use to find reliable and accurate information based on facts.

The program will be moderated by Susan Hildreth, a librarian, administrator, and educator who has managed and led numerous libraries and library agencies in addition to teaching at the University of Washington Information School. Between 2011 and 2015 she served as the director of the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), the principal US federal funding agency for libraries and museums.
