Location
On March 28 we're coming together in nonviolent direct action in cities across the country to remind this president and the world: America does not belong to strongmen, greedy billionaires, or those who govern through fear. It belongs to the people.
LWVDV will be joining with Indivisible Resisters Contra Costa (IRCC) and Commit to Democracy to form a massive human chain from Walnut Creek to Concord in support of Democracy! Our goal is to have at least 50+ people to fill our designated span on North Main Street in Walnut Creek, in front of Target.
Please let us know if you are planning on attending.
RSVP to Unite.rise [at] lwvdv.org.
- Our designated blocks are on N. Main St. from Carlback Ave. to Ygnacio Valley Rd., across the street from Target.
- If you want, join other League participants at noon at the intersection of Ygnacio Valley and N. California Streets, at the end of the covered walkway from the Walnut Creek BART station. (You can park for free in the South Parking lot.) Two League route escorts will lead the group from the BART station to our designated League area two blocks away.
Or if you prefer, join us directly at the designated area across from Target. - Water and snacks will be provided on each block.
