These nominees have, for the past three years, consistently volunteered at the Garcia Center for the Arts in a variety of ways: gardening, cleaning, construction, maintenance, technological help, secretarial assistance.  They are regular in attendance, either once a week or as needed. 

Without their donation of skills, the Center would be unable to function as a contribution to the renaissance of the arts in the San Bernardino area.  The neighborhood around the Center has benefitted from the renovation and upkeep of the historic adobe building---in this primarily low-income and commercial area, it gives those living and working in the area a reason to be proud of their neighborhood.  The volunteers, with skills honed in their working lives, are willing to share those skills and their time in a way that contributes to the quality of life in San Bernardino.

The Garcia Center for the Arts recipients are George Bohn, Richard Gonzalez, Maggie Foss, Dan Rinne, Tim Garcia, Luis Fuerte and Dorothy Garcia.
