Nobel Peace Prize nominee Jane Roberts speaks to LWV members on Feb. 25. Plans for televised debate for San Bernardino mayoral candidates, Feb. 2. LWVUS project "Openness in Government: Looking for the Sunshine."
 

THE VOTER: FEBRUARY 2006

February 2006 VOTER Includes information on the upcoming League of Women Voters of San Bernardino sponsored presentation (Feb. 25) by Jane Roberts, co-founder of 34 Million Friends of the United Nations Population Fund; report on League activities regarding redistricting reform; planning for the Citizens of Achievement Awards; and looking forward to the June Ballot.

Sunshine Week Dialogue March 13 - a panel discussion on open government will take place Monday, March 13 in Washington D.C. People can participate at Pasadena Public Library's beautiful central library, 205 E. Walnut St. from 10-11:30 a.m. PST.

THE VOTER: MAY 2006

May 2006 VOTER Includes information on the June 3 League Annual Meeting (10-2 at the Arrowhead Country Club) speaker Kent Paxton will tell us about the Children's Network, the May Voter also includes an LWV interview with Congressman Joe Baca, Jr. and provides information on League support of the June 2006 Library Bond Act.
 

THE VOTER: OCTOBER 2006

October 2006 VOTER Includes information on the Saturday, Oct. 28 (2-4 pm.) community discussion on local ballot issues, a message on Proposition 89 from the LWVC President, and news of some of our league members: Susan Lien Longville (congratulations!), Kim Carter (congratulations!), and Lee Mana.

December 2006 VOTER Includes information on the Annual Party (you are welcome to bring family and friends), Saturday, Dec. 9 from 1-3 p.m. at "Sweet Dreams" 3372 No. Wall Ave., San Bernardino.
