The past two months as Monthly President were rewarding. The Board and Leadership team has been supportive and helpful. I learned a lot -- including about levels of LWV and how they function. The team of Melanie Speir, Anne Granlund, and Peggy Huston will be Monthly President for October and November.
There are lots of opportunities for you to get involved in our League! Look for a job that interests you, find out more about what it would involve from the contact person, and get started in making a difference.
On our plate right now is the California Governor Recall Election. LWVC, the state League, has developed information that the LWVDV is using to educate voters on this important election. Please return your ballot or vote in person by September 14!
In a recent debrief of the Proposition 15 campaign, LWVDV was particularly recognized for the resounding ‘yes’ vote from our Contra Costa County voters.
