The League of Women Voters of New Castle County (LWVNCC) is one of eight co-sponsors for four planned First State Educate school board candidate forums for NCC School Districts from April 22nd to May 1st, 2024:

Those who attend the forums via Zoom can pose questions for the candidates via the meeting chat. The forums will also be live-streamed to First State Edcuate's facebook page, and the video will be made available here on LWVNCC's website afterward as well.

LWVNCC's Forums Co-Chair Joyce Ford encourages all League members to sign-up and participate in our sponsored forums when possible to show our support. Forums are also one of the best ways to get a feel for the candidates so you can cast an informed vote.

The school board elections will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. In Delaware, all citizens aged 18 or older living within the school district boundaries can vote in school board elections. You do not have to be registered to vote for DE school boards.

Additional election information can be found on the Delaware Department of Elections website or on LWV's VOTE411 voter guide.

Please note - due to a candidate withdrawal on 4/25/2024, Christina District no longer will hold a school board election on May 14, 2024. The Christina video, however, still offers viewers a chance to get to know candidate Amy Trauth, who will assume the board seat automatically.
