In August 2019, in conjunction with the 99th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, LWVUS announced their "She Is Me" online campaign to celebrate 100 years of League work through the inter-generational stories of real League of Women Voters members. The campaign will be ongoing, starting in 2019 and running through the 2020 election.
The national She Is Me campaign will feature stories of real League members of different backgrounds, generations, and locations. The campaign launched with six powerful, inspirational women members and will feature more members of other backgrounds and genders throughout the campaign. Local Leagues are encouraged to participate. New Castle County League (LWVNCC) encorporated the She Is Me messaging into this promotional ad, featuring real Delaware Leaguers, that will appear in the October 20, 2019 Newark NAACP Freedom Fund Awards Banquet. LWVNCC thanks local League member Susan Mitchell for funding this ad, thereby helping both organizations.
