The League of Women Voters of New Castle County has invited candidates for DE Senate Districts 1, 5, 7, 9, and 13 to participate in a virtual candidates forum on Thursday. Oct 1 beginning at 7 pm. In compliance with Federal Elections Commission and IRS regulations for nonpartisan forums, at least two candidates for the same office must participate to procedure with a forum in any district.
At this time, both candidates for the following districts have agreed to participate:
Session 1, starting at 7 pm:
• District 1: Sarah McBride (D), Steven Washington (R)
• District 1: Sarah McBride (D), Steven Washington (R)
• District 5: Catherine Cloutier (R), Kyle Evans Gay (D)
Session 2, starting at 8:15 pm:
• District 7: Anthony Delcollo (R), Spiros Mantzavinos (D)
• District 7: Anthony Delcollo (R), Spiros Mantzavinos (D)
Note: candidates from District 9 (Jack Walsh and Todd Ruckle) and District 13 (Marie Pinkney and Alexander Homich) have also been invited. If both candidates from either district 9 or 13 become available, they will join the second (8:15pm) session.
The forums will be live-streamed at www.facebook.com/LWVNCC/live and will also be available here on the LWVNCC website soon after the event.
