Join us in shaping the future of New Castle County!

Guest speaker Andrea Trabelsi, Assistant General Manager of the NCC Department of Land Use will be our guest speaker for October 2021 LWVNCC Hot Topic, held by Zoom web conference. Learn about how the 50-year county plan in the works, called "NCC2050," will affect you and your community.

The presentation starts at 11:30 am. Join early if desired for social time starting at 11 am.

Andrea Trabelsi, Assistant General Manager in the New Castle County Department of Land Use, has 15 years of urban and community planning, policy, and design experience in the non-profit, private, and public sectors. Her career has focused on the intersection of land use, transportation, and public health. She has led coalitions and stakeholder groups of technical experts, elected officials, and the public to shape thriving, sustainable, and accessible places throughout the mid-Atlantic region. Career highlights have included leading the first health impact assessment in Delaware on the Fort DuPont Master Plan, collaboratively developing a land use and transportation modeling tool to include health impact indicators, and creating Delaware’s current statewide bicycle plan, Blueprint for a Bicycle-friendly Delaware. Ms. Trabelsi is a certified planner and holds a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning and bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design from the University of Minnesota.
