November Topic - Climate Actions: Hidden Opportunities for Women

There are a lot of nuances to climate action. Nuances such as who will pay for the technologies, should the industrial countries pay for the developing counties who are suffering the consequences of the industry, and others.

This TED Talk will highlight the nuance of the role of women in climate action.

Zineb Sqalli in her presentation, Climate Action’s Hidden Opportunities for Women, explores this nuance. Based on Vienna, Austria’s gender-equal urban planning programs model for how women can be included in the climate action movement, Ms. Sqalli demonstrates how women can be included in every step of building a green economy. This presentation will offer solutions for incorporating both sustainability and gender equality into the climate action movement.
