February Topic - The US vs. itself (and other top global risks in 2024)

The TED Talk discussion for March will continue discussing the Eurasia Group’s publication of the top global risks for 2024 that they are forecasting. The discussion will continue with the last two of the risks noted in Ian Bremmer’s TED Talk presentation: “The US vs. Itself – And Other Top Global Risks in 2024”. The February discussion covered the risks of the US vs. Itself, the conflict in the middle east, and the war in Ukraine. March 9th, the conversation will continue regarding the risks of AI and Big Tech. Both risks are projected to have a global impact. We have been hearing a lot about AI and the possibility of creating some guardrails around the potential to highlight the positive but to have protective controls against the negative. Ian Bremmer gives the perspective of the Eurasia Group’s on what this will mean to us.
