But what if… “What If We Replaced Politicians With Randomly Selected People?.” Brett Hennig, our TEDx presenter for January, poses this question as a solution to a democracy that is viewed in various stages of disarray and brokenness. Mr. Hennig presents a compelling case for a different approach. A system that is rooted in ancient Athens that uses the wisdom of the crown and “entrusts ordinary people with making balanced decisions.” Decisions that are for the greater good of everyone and not a select few.
