Film screening of the documentary "All the Queen's Horses," followed by a presentation and Q&A session with the film's director/producer Kelly Richmond Pope. Pope is a white-collar crime expert who teaches forensic accounting at DePaul University. She lists her passions as fraud, film and life-long learning.
All the Queen's Horses tells the story of Rita Crundwell, the perpetrator of the largest case of municipal fraud in American history. As city comptroller of Dixon, IL (population 15,838), Crundwell stole $53 million dollars of public funds across 20 years.
The event is hosted by City Treasurer Velda Jones-Potter's office, in partnership with DCRAC, DelCOG, New Castle County Council, LWVNCC and others. Jones-Potter says of the event:
