Update 4/2/21: this election has been canceled. Challenger Cassandra Abel has withrawn from the Smyrna Mayoral race, and Mayor Robert C. Johnson will automatically re-assume his seat. Since there are no more contested races, the Smyrna town election scheduled for April 27, 2021 will not be held.

The Town of Smyrna's municipal election will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. Residents will vote for one of two candidates for Mayor. The two open council seats have no challengers, so incumbments Valerie Forbes and .Gerald Brown will re-assume their council seats automatically.

Town elections are held the last Tuesday in April each year. All citizens who are 18 years of age and who have lived in the Town of Smyrna for at least 30 days preceding the election date are eligible to vote provided they are properly registered with the State of Delaware Department of Elections .

Absentee Ballot Request Forms are available for download from the town website (https://smyrna.delaware.gov) or can be requested at Town Hall.
