Join in!  Walk, dance, watch, or man our LWV information table. Shirts will also be available for public purchase at our Oct 6 guest bartender fundraiser at the BBC.

More information about the walk can be found here: Making Strides Delaware Rolling WalkThe walk will begin with a rolling start between 8:30 am and 10:30 am, meaning you can begin to walk at any point during that time period. Registration will open at 8:30 am. A stage show, live entertainment, food trucks, and more will happen throughout the duration of the event.

League Signups

A Making Strides team named "League of Women Voters of New Castle County" has been set up, with team captain Richard Johnson. He encourages anyone who is interested in attending to sign up. There are three ways to join the LWVNCC Making Strides team:

  1. Go to makingstrideswalk.org/Delaware and create an account (or log on to your existing account), and search for League of Women Voters of New Castle County when you get to the "join a team" step, or
  2. Go to the League of Women Voters of New Castle County Team Page and click the "Join Our Team" button, or
  3. Go to Richard's personal Making Strides page and click the "Join Richard's Team" button below the team name.

If our members want to participate in the event they need to sign up on the site. They do not have to donate but they can be a part of the team for the League of Women Voters of New Castle County The point of the team is to participate and raise some money for the cause. The sign-up interface will ask you for a donation goal. If you want to give, that’s fine; if not, you do not have to.

We will also need people to staff an LWV voter information table at the event; please let Patti Christopher know if you'd like to participate in that way.
