Monday, March 16, 2020 - 1:30pm to 3:30pm

Update 3/15/2020 - due to the closure of New Castle County libraries to the public starting Monday 3/16, and social isolation measures that group members are practicing, the March 16th LWVNCC Great Decisions discussion has been canceled. The India & Pakistan topic will be rescheduled later in the year.

On Monday, March 16th at 1:30 pm at  the Newark Free Library, Leslie Goldstein will lead discussion on “India and Pakistan.” If you would like to come for lunch beforehand at noon at Skipjack Restaurant, please let Flo Waibel know by Friday, Mar 13.

LWVNCC Great Decisions foreign policy discussions are open to the public. We watch a video at the beginning, so even if you have not done the pre-reading you can join in the discussion.

We normally meet at the Newark Free Library eight months out of the year. The eight Great Decisions Topics chosen by the Foreign Policy Association for 2020 are as follows:

    • Climate Change and the Global Order
    • India and Pakistan
    • Red Sea Security
    • Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking
    • U.S. Relations with the Northern Triangle
    • China's Road into Latin America
    • The Philippines and the U.S.
    • Artificial Intelligence and Data
