Natalie Fee

The April TED Talk will again follow the February Hot Topics Lunch presentation on Plastic Pollution! Zero Waste! In Delaware and Beyond? to keep the conversation going. For April, the TED Talk to be discussed: "Plastic Pollution is Personal" builds on the luncheon presentation by County Councilperson Dee Durham. The TED Talk will take the issue of plastic pollution prevention one step further by showing the various plastics in our homes that are contributing to global dilemma. This talk goes beyond the conversation about straws to other plastic contaminants that are choking our oceans and streams. Natalie Fee, the TED Talk presenter, points out that: "A significant portion of the plastic contaminants choking our oceans comes from the myriad of objects we flush down our toilets."

Join us to find out what she is talking about!

Natalie Fee was awarded the Sheila McKechnie Award for Environmental Justice 2017. Ms. Fee notes:

We all have the power to change things and to make the world a better place. Preserving the beauty of this planet matters to me. In a world of tech, time-scarcity and endless thinking, nature still has the power to soothe, restore and reconnect us. I'm daring to protect that.

Continue the conversation on how we can preserve the beauty of this planet in making plastic pollution personal and not believing that it is someone else’s doing. The conversation will start at 1:00 on April 20th, 2019 at St. Philip’s Church, 5320 Limestone Road, Wilmington DE 19808.
