Come See Walkability Policies in Action – Tour of Newark
The Land Use and Transportation Committee invites LWVDE/NCC members and friends to join us and Newark City Planner, Mike Fortner, on a walking tour of Newark to view some of the changes that Newark has implemented to make this university town even more vibrant and accessible to walkers and bikers. We will be looking for some “Ideal Walk Appeal Features” from p.30 of The Walkability Assessment Tool, January 2016 by the University of Delaware Institute for Public Administration: Healthy and Complete Communities in Delaware: The Walkability Assessment Tool (udel.edu)
