CURRENT TOPIC: The use of Signal by top national security officials
On March 24, The Atlantic broke the story that U.S. national-security leaders included a journalist in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. Our top national security officials used Signal, an unsecured, commercial app, to discuss an attack on Houthi targets.
CURRENT ACTION: Thank Senators Reed and Wicker for requesting an investigation
-
Call Senator Jack Reed, RI, Ranking member Armed Services Committee (202) 224-4642
Suggested message: "Thank you for asking for an investigation on the national security breach by use of a Signal app. The use of the app demonstrated incompetence by our highest national security officials. Was the app used for other sensitive or classified conversations? How did a journalist get added, unnoticed, to the conversation? Secretary of Defense Mike Waltz and National Security Advisor should be fired. Please investigate until all questions are answered. Thank you." -
