Dues
Membership dues are on a sliding scale, so it has never been easier to join the League and participate in this vital work. Dues are split between the LWVAC (20%), LWVFL (47%) and LWVUS (33%) and paid annually, renewable on your Join Date anniversary each year.
- Payment is by ACH (an electronic payment using the numbers on the bottom of a check) or credit card. Members are encouraged to pay by ACH to lower processing fees.
- For those without an email address or who must pay by check, complete this form (coming soon), make your dues check out to LWVUS and mail both to LWVAC, PO Box 15285, Gainesville, FL 32604-5285.
- Donations can also be made by mail but require a separate check. Checks for any donations made exclusively to the LWV of Alachua County should be made out to LWVAC and mailed to the same address: LWVAC, PO Box 15285, Gainesville, FL 32604-5285.
- Dues and donations are not tax-deductible. To give a tax-deductible gift, please make your check out to LWV Florida Education Fund, write "LWVAC" on the memo line, and send to LWVAC Treasurer, Box 15285, Gainesville, FL 32604.
Donations
Your dues support not only the local League activities, they also help defray staff costs and outreach activities at the state and national offices. Locally, we retain just 20% of the dues you pay, so donations are most helpful to support our interns, forum expenses, Voter Guides, website, etc. You can donate during step 2 of the online join/renewal process or directly from our website. Please consider donating today!
